Release Notes

What each version of Tidymoji brought. Updates arrive through the App Store.

  1. Version 1.1

Bigger emojis or more of them, a category bar you can drag along, and undo in the app.

    In the keyboard

    • Emoji Rows: 3, 4 or 5 rows of emojis.
    • Emoji Size: small, medium or large emojis. The keyboard grows or shrinks to fit the rows and the size you choose.
    • Drag along the category bar to move through all emojis, like on Apple’s keyboard.
    • A delete key at the end of the category bar.
    • Pinned emojis can show only in Favorites, instead of in their category as well.
    • Frequently Used fills whole columns, up to 50 emojis.
    • The search opens faster.

    In the app

    • Search Hide and Pin Emojis by name, in German and English.
    • Undo any step: tap Undo in the … menu, or shake your iPhone.
    • The start screen shows your first favorites and how many emojis are hidden.
    • How to Use, under Help, explains each feature with a screenshot.
    • Larger skin tone buttons, with the selected tone easier to see in dark mode.
    • Rate Tidymoji, under About.

    Fixed

    • Pulling down on the start screen no longer makes the top row disappear.
  2. Version 1.0

    The first release.

    In the keyboard

    • Pin up to 28 favorites. They always come first, in the order you pinned them.
    • Hide the emojis you never use. If you want, they show up in a last section called Hidden.
    • Search names in German and English at the same time. The search finds hidden emojis too.
    • Frequently Used with 4 to 48 emojis, or turned off.
    • One skin tone for every emoji, chosen once in the app.
    • With Full Access, touch and hold an emoji to pin or hide it right there.
    • Looks like Apple’s emoji keyboard on iOS 17, iOS 18, and iOS 26 or later with Liquid Glass, in light and dark mode, on iPhone and iPad.

    In the app

    • All emojis in a grid: tap one to hide or pin it, or swipe across many at once.
    • Hide All and Show All for each category, and a reset for each mode.
    • Sync with iCloud, off by default, through your own iCloud account.
    • In English and German.
